INFOSYS PATTERN - 05 DEC 2007 - HYDERABAD

INFOSYS PATTERN - 05 DEC 2007 - HYDERABAD
Hi Ragpre

I attended Infosys ONLINE written exam on 5th December 2007 thru Merit Trac Services in Hyd. I will give u pattern as far as I remember…

As u all know that paper consists of 2 sections
1) Aptitude (reasoning) 30 questions and 40 minutes
2) Verbal 40 questions 30 min

Paper will be easy and nothing to bother about the exam.

APTITUDE SECTION:
In this section there will be

1) SYLLOGISMS (5 questions)
the questions wt I got r:
a) some cats are dogs
b) some dogs are tigers.
There are two conclusions given which I don't remember. But the answer is no conclusion, because the statements given are of PARTICULAR type. Remaining 4 questions too are in this model. Just refer R.S.Agarwal LOGIC SECTION. Go thru all the 9 rules. That is enough

2) DATA INTERPRETATION (5 questions)
a small table was given for us from which we were asked  some questions. Calculations are lengthy. Better attempt it at last. U can find these questions in R./S.Agarwal quant aptitude book. Second section. It will be better if u practice TIME material for this.

3) PUZZLE TEST (10 questions)
Go thru all the models present in R.S.Agarwal puzzle test. The questions will come from it. It will be little bit easy if u practice well.
Also there will be cubes and dice, sequencing, directions will be there. But they r not asked in my exam. Prepare that too!!!

4) PICTURE PUZZLES (5 questions)
these are DAMN EASY. First attempt it. U can get confidence then..

5) DATA SUFFIENCY (5 ques)
I suggest u to prepare TIME material for this because RS Agarwal will not be sufficient.

SECOND SECTION is all English. Two passages will be given, 5 marks each. Attempt it last. Sentence corrections will be given for 8 marks, fill in the blanks, some small paragraphs, say 2-3 sentences will be given and u r asked to find conclusion for it.

All this is of basic English level..u need not worry about this section at all..all u need to be careful about is the TIME MANAGEMENT..be careful tht u not run out of time…
